Sanctuary for Families wanted to revamp their annual appeal mailer in order to share their accomplishments in a more engaging and visual way. I helped them to strategize a format for a 5x7 trifold card that would allow them to highlight a client ‘survivor’ story while simultaneously showing how Sanctuary’s services and programs paved the way for her to not only get back on her feet, but to become a ‘survivor leader’. The design was based around the concept of ‘Breaking the Silence’ or the cycle of shame and silence that victims of domestic abuse often fall prey to.
